About the Company

gCAP Software was formed in 2017 in order to continue to support and develop the software created by gCAP following Nick's decision to take early retirement.

gCAP was formed in 2003 in specific response to an obvious lack of instrument approach plates designed with helicopter pilots in mind although, as a by-product, Cat A aeroplanes are also catered for. Instrument flight is often demanding at the most inconvenient of times, such as when your autopilot has dropped out and the weather's at minima, which is the very last time that you want to look down at your plate and realise that it's been written with Cat C/D aircraft in mind and needs interpretation for light aircraft.

Over the following years, gCAP expanded into aviation software development - AOCMS, Sirocco and various bespoke software solutions. Dave joined gCAP in 2013 to assist Nick with the software side of the business, expanding and improving the software portfolio.

gCAP Software welcomes feedback because we are continually trying to improve our products. Please send an email to dave@gcapsw.com with any suggestions.

If you feel we can help your business further, whether that is in the areas of:

  • managing the duty hours, flying hours and training checks of your pilots and crew
  • occurrence reporting, compliance monitoring, risk management and document control
  • calendar management for pilots, crew and aircraft
or if you would like to discuss a bespoke solution, please contact Dave (dave@gcapsw.com).
